In this final sermon of the series, we consider that the ultimate point of the word of faith is that Jesus is Lord. That is the necessary conclusion of the fact of the resurrection and it is the occurrent instantiation of believing in our heart that God raised him from the dead. Everything God does is in service of his own glory, that he might have the preeminence. Salvation is not about us, and the requirement of salvation is not self-centric. We don’t ask Jesus to save us. We don’t confess our sins. We don’t accept him into our heart. Salvation is to confess that Jesus is Lord. It is about him. That it results in our best interests is evidence of the unfathomable goodness of God.
